In November 2024, there is still a campaign to win this model of car in Thailand. If I win that prize, I don't want to sell it. My car doesn't look good to drive anymore. So I want a new one for almost free. (The win is not secret, So there is Sweepstake Tax. And the value of the prize must be included in the income for income tax calculation.) But my parents will force me to sell it anyway because it should be able to sell for a million baht, which is a lot of money.

But I really don't think any of the BYD cars or any Chinese cars have become cult like that!! First, they are still not globally accepted like the JDM cars. Second, there are still so many haters of them around the world, especially in Japan and the US.

It is no wonder that Japanese people's opinions of this company and these cars are almost entirely negative.

"Never buy."

"Stop subsidies."

It is understandable, most people in Thailand think this way as well. Thailand should stop or fix ASEAN-China FTA. We already applied some hundreds percents car tariffs (it is already much more than Trump's 100% tariff plan!), so it should apply to Chinese cars as well. Some Chinese companies are invested factories in Thailand, so no import cars (anymore). But it is still not too late.

The fact that this company entered Japan and was able to get cars registered in Japan, made positive effects on the brand's image worldwide. (The world is accepting "Japan's Quality.")

I think it does not focus much on the competition in the Japan's car market because it already knows that it will not be able to convince Japanese people to accept and buy it no matter how good the car is.

I am not to mention Polyphony Digital and the Gran Turismo games, that are Japanese company and games. I believe that they will definitely not put these things in the game. Also, if it is added into the game, players may not accept them. They will accuse it of being a Woke game. (GT7 game has Tesla and some EVs, so it is already a Woke game for someone.)
