BYD’s EV Business Strategy: A Path for Success or Disaster?
Disaster for him (or them), mainly because too many models, too complex. He (or they) preferred to Tesla's strategy. It is understandable to h0ngcom. Because Tesla becomes "the standard" like Apple, making few models that are favored by most people, not so diversity, not so Woke.
However. h0ngcom think many models doesn't always mean disaster. Look at Toyota.
H0ngcom think that multiple models, tailored to regional tastes, can be more effective than same models for the whole world. For examples. Toyota Veloz (and other names) and its rivals are not available in Europe, right? And Thailand wants kei cars because it is fuel-save so much to be the EV killers, but they don't receive them.
