h0ngcom personally think this WCPOTY (World Car Person of the Year) is much less important than WCOTY (World Car of the Year), that is determine what automaker is the best in the world.
2025 WCOTY Finalists (Top 10):
Audi A5 / S5
BMW X3
Ford Mustang
Hyundai Inster / Casper Electric
Kia EV3
Mini Cooper Electric
Suzuki Swift
Toyota Camry
Toyota Land Cruiser / Land Cruiser 250
Volkswagen Tiguan / Tayron
Whoever wins, China lose. (Some Chinese cars are in the Candidates, but did not pass into the Finalists (Top 10) round.)
Hyundai Inster EV and Kia EV3 have not yet release in Thailand, but the Thai EV enthusiasts may interesting in them, as they are very likely to be priced well in Thailand, and they are also not Chinese products. We already know how great Hyundai EVs and Kia EVs are.

Driving on the beach without a proper reason is illegal in Thailand, so I can't do the same thing you guys did in Australia. However, thank you very much for the car test video.
The Bisha battery storage facility is designed and supplied by Biyadi.
The two names seem to fit well.

Rumored Zeekr Thailand to stop Zeekr X sales in mid 2025??? :-( Too quick! Disagree with that! Zeekr X is the best in class, so it is not need to be very cheap like the other brands! (Later, other news said it is false: Zeekr will not end the Zeekr X sales so quick like that.)
h0ngcom don't like Geely Group much because it is UNRIVALED as the only true Chinese automotive "investers". With that, Geely, not Tesla, is the real BYD rival, and Geely maybe the bigger threat to the automotive world than BYD. People still thinking BYD is. Geely's ownership of Volvo and Lotus is the big threat long time before BYD's movements, but people don't care about that much, and Volvo and Lotus are still great, and also very great in the new EV world.
However, h0ngcom accept the fact! Zeekr X is the best in class!
h0ngcom see many EV influencers are stop cheering BYD anymore, and move to Zeekr and/or Xpeng instead. h0ngcom see and understand how better/greater cars they are. However, h0ngcom still see they are "premium", not so affordable.
I would like to congratulate BYD.
Munro & Associates, a well-known American company and the owner of "Munro Live" YouTube channel, has disassembled a BYD Shark.
It is a PHEV, not a pure EV, so in my opinion, disassembling it would not be that interesting.
Most Thais today know this very well. We will not allow China to take advantage of us.
For example, in the recent case of people found that a China's mobile phone system is embedded with unwanted loan apps, Thailand will not allow such apps.
Thais have seen the threats that China made to the Thai economy and financial system. We Thais who love our Thailand country will avoid using Chinese financial services.
Conservative man can go EV too.

Norway to be the first country to all-electric car sales (without the full fuel-car ban policy (Ethiopia bans imports of gas-powered private vehicles)). However, people still see some, if not all, Norwegian ambassadors in other countries still use fuel cars. It becomes a car-meme in Thailand social network (facebook) recently.
Unfortunately, the Thai EV market does not have the MG logo for this model, but instead has the Wuling (Wuling Air) logo, making this model less interesting.
The MG brand does not have any good images in Thailand for me, but it definitely sounds better than the pure Chinese brand Wuling.
And what's really unfortunate for me is that I've never seen any campaigns to win this model of car (Wuling Air, and also Wuling Binguo) in Thailand.
For the EV car prizes in Thailand, from late 2022 to this time, as I seen, mostly are BYD, BYD, BYD, BYD and BYD cars. Many BYD prizes to win! Some campaigns' other EV car prizes (as I seen) are Tesla, Neta V / V-II, MG4, Ora Cat, etc. One time I see ChangAn Lumin prize.
Currently, I never see Deepal S07/L07 prize. I think it should be a prize due to its Lambo-like shape, looking very good.
Also yet to see Jaecoo 6 as a prize. It should be a prize too because of its interesting shape.
Various Red Cross organizations in Thailand usually have their own charity lotteries once a year. The grand prizes may be gold bars or cars or something else. Most of car prizes are still fuel cars, as usual. There are a few that have electric vehicles as prizes, or one EV car is a prize and other prizes are fuel cars.
Two Toyota prizes before a Neta V-II
The world (Welsh: y byd) knows the Yangwang U8 well, so I don't think it needs any camouflage at all.
With just a little camouflage, people still be able to tell that it is Yangwang U8.
And if it's not camouflaged, people will think that someone bought it and imported it into the country for personal use, not a test vehicle.
It is not often that Bjorn VS BYD (Denza) have positive results.
I didn't consider his name, which starts with B, ends with D, and has a Y in the middle. Because it is a joke. (I see he is one of the greatest Tesla evangelist / EV evangelist, so this joke works to me.)
Nissan EV sales crash 44% in Japan, but still be the champion in Japan.
Alternative title: "Chinese EVs Failing - or are they?"
He also talks about BYD VS Tesla, in the same 2009/2010 era. (2010+ BYD K9 electric bus VS Tesla Roadster (2008-2012)) At that time, BYD seems to be more useful to people than Tesla. However, at that time, the Roadster makes Tesla much more famous than BYD. --h0ngcom

Price wars 1. Betray those who have already bought at full price. 2. Destroy brand loyalty. 3. Destroy the brand image, especially, who start price wars is public enemy. 4. Make used car prices fall rapidly.
Price wars may be good for increasing sales, but in the long run, they destroy brands and companies.
h0ngcom (I) remember that there used to be a Thai version of Top Gear magazine.
I went to the current TopGear Thailand's FB page and didn't see any name of who (which company) was granted the right to use this brand in Thailand. I think a hint is TGT seems to be pro-China, so it maybe a mainland Chinese company.

Coincidentally that a VIKING is placed in front of BYD. Maybe in front of Ford too. Not in front of Toyota for sure.
"Public enemy" is a phrase that describes someone who is a threat to society.
"Public enemy number one" is used to describe the most threat to society.
Han L (not named after Han Lue, but I want to believe) is so fast, very high horsepower, but YNWH (YOU'LL NEVER WIN HYUNDAI IONIQ 5 N DK EDITION). Of course, BYDNWH.
This chicken-and-egg problem is:
Public EV chargers want EV cars to use them, and want profits.
EV car (buyers) want public EV chargers too.
No EV cars, no public chargers.
No public chargers, no EV cars.
In Thailand, the EV car population appears to be growing much faster than public chargers.
Probably the so-called Thailand Plus One strategy, having factories in both Thailand and Cambodia.
However, Thai consumers may not like businesses that choose to side with Cambodia, not just Thailand.
By the video cover picture, you seems to know the Welsh language.
Helo'r Byd!
Your country's people aren't as annoying as that country's people, so it's no wonder that many Thais welcome you. Many Thais even like your country.
But for me, your country has too much influence on Thailand. I can't do much, because even I like the moe things and watch romcom manga videos. So, I think it's great that your country has rivals.
My heaven is Japanese salary, Japanese foods, Japanese house (if it is large enough, and I mean a house in Japan location, Japan weather, etc.), Japanese wife, and (the real JDM) Japanese cars. Maybe the most of Japanese societies/people too. Why did you move to Thailand? It is hard for me to understand.
The advantage of my country is that it is not as strict as your country, such as separate waste is not a must. But I think, in overall, your country is much better than mine.
We don't even have something like Proton or VinFast to be proudable, not to mention your country's cars that are loved and accepted all over the world.
These people cancel tourism to Thailand, which causes Thailand to lose income, but most Thai people are happy about this because they see these people as annoying or disgusting, and some of them may be a threat to Thailand's security or the Thai economy.
The headline also seems to favor that group of people. Writing "Thai(Thailand) receives karma" implies that Thailand will suffer from this issue, when in fact Thai people are very happy about this.
This is why BYD is the next Nokia or the next Kodak.

UNTIL THE DAY THE US BANS CHINESE CARS COMPLETELY...
--h0ngcom
A car from this brand is not good for Bjorn (and many EV reviewers) again. But it is true that this EV model is not as energy efficient as the EV god Tesla.
Whoever wins... BYD loses.
And your EV market is very good that has many nationalities of cars. We want that situation in Thailand too.
In 2024, watching Copa America 2024 instead of UEFA Euro 2024 won't help you avoiding the BYD logo, so that's too much advertising for me.
However, as a BYD fan, I think the World Cup will be the next step for the company. It's probably the most important football matches in the world. If the logo is appeared in the World Cup matches (especially the very final match) the viewer's choice is only two choices: to watch the match or not to watch the match. To see this logo or not to see this logo.
What's surprising to me is that these 70+ year olds (him and the people in the comments) are not anti-EVs. The people around me are in their 60s and are anti-EVs, or are very EV-phobic that believing that EVs catching fire or exploding very easy like that.
Yidan is as cute as usual.
However, the Thai authorities should check her and the people in this video because they looks like to living in Thailand so long and looks like owning Thai land/building properties, which are maybe illegal.
The level of sinophobia in Thailand is currently very high because there are too many Chinese living in Thailand, which is feared to affect Thailand’s security. For some time now, some Thais have felt that Thailand has practically become a province of China.
Now there is news of a (fake) Thai police and (fake) Thai military training courses for Chinese people to attend, which makes this group of Chinese people have more (fake) power and may threaten Thai people.
One of interviewees is J.D. Ney from J.D. Power. I like this acronym because in the Thai language, "JD" means pagoda, cetiya or stupa. It is written "chedi" but really pronounces "J.D."
--h0ngcom
It is good that you can waiting for the charging. Thai people can't wait for it because the weather is too hot.
It's good that you're not afraid of fires or explosions. Many contents in the Thai social networks still makes people very afraid. (Some contents are fake news but looks very believable.)
With such a high proportion, the anti-EV people are maybe no longer relevant to you, but in other countries around the world they are still very influential. Sometime I have seen they post claiming to be an electrical engineer who graduated from US/UK. Of course that he opposes and rejects EVs. It worked very well. Many people shared it and believed it.
Why ban a Chinese battery maker? Why not ban Chinese automakers? They are greater threats to the US auto industries. CATL is not a Tesla's enemy at all. BYD is. --h0ngcom
Near the end of video, quote: "They will be priced at a lower price point. The price war in China will affect the UK market, will affect the Australian car market, affect the Thai car market, affect the Brazilian car market, Mexican car market.
