According to some sources, this is how great Geely is. A Geely car model can be a Renault (a real European car brand).
Volvo and Lotus are available in Thailand. Zeekr is entering Thailand. But both are upper market or premium market, not the mainstream market.
I see Geely has beaten BYD in many things. (BYD does not (yet) get this thing like Geely does: A real European car brand taking your car model to rebadging.) I see Geely may had the potential to kill BYD in Thailand, but it didn't try to do that (yet).
Not surprising to me(h0ngcom). Bjørn nYlanD VS BYD videos are usually negative results. It means BYD cars usually not good in Bjørn's test.
In Bjorn's challenge, it appears that driving 1000 kilometers continuously at high speeds might not be suitable for a BYD car.
I(h0ngcom) drive about 500 kilometers at a time, but the Phitsanulok - Khon Kaen route still has few public chargers. Another problem is that the charging technology is not fast enough. Still not close to refueling.
It seems like BYD is selling very well in Thailand right now because Thai people still don't have many EV options.
We are waiting for the Japanese EV. Japanese car makers can easily beat Chinese EVs in Thailand by just sell Japanese EVs in Thailand. But the Japanese automakers did not respond much, since their fuel cars are still sell like hotcakes, so they can ignoring EVs.
