First, he thinks that import cars that come from anywhere, not just China, will be subject to higher tariffs by the Trump administration.
He thinks that Trump is also considering increasing tariffs on cars from Mexico and Japan.
Second, he thinks that Trump will allow Chinese car companies to enter the US if they set up factories to manufacture and assemble cars in the US, use American labors, etc.
He does not think that Trump will completely block Chinese cars.
Third, he even think Trump is an EV supporter! This view is very different from many people including me. It is understandable that the Trump administration will supporting Tesla soon. All EVs supporter? I don't think so.
